She is proceeded in death by her parents Lohman and Elsie Loughner, half brother Charles Phillips, Half sister Betty Keeley, twin daughters Terry Jean and Kim Louise Leys, grandson Michael Scott Leys, and daughter-in-law Diane Leys. JoAnn is survived by her children Janice Stevens, Cathy (Stan) Elwartowski, Russell Leys, Karen (Wayne) Berens, and Rodney Leys; her brother Edward Leroy (Renate) Loughner. She loved all 21 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren , niece and nephews. JoAnn was born in Warren, Ohio. She then moved to Michigan where she finished her senior year of High school at Kelloggsville High. She proceeded to live her life with many journeys. JoAnn worked hard to provide for her children by working full time at General Motors as special sewer where later she ran the gerber cutting table and worked several part time waitress jobs. After retirement JoAnn worked at the paper peddler and volunteered at the Walker Police Department. She had many activities that enjoyed which included bowling and pool tournaments, doing the Mackinac Bridge Walk with friends, taking the grandchild to the Zoo and she loved dancing. She had a passion for animals. She loved her cat Lilly and dachshund Misty whom was adopted at the humane society. JoAnn had a big heart. She was a loving and giving person. Instead of flowers the family ask that you donate to the John Ball Zoo and/or West Michigan Humane Society.
