Richard "Moto" Boothe, age 81, of Grand Rapids, passed away on September 11, 2017 after a courageous fight with cancer. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Ellen Boothe; sons, Rick Boothe, Jeff (Wendy) Boothe and Mike (Denise) Boothe; step-sons, Scott Bylsma (Stacie Heath) and Kurt (Andrea) Bylsma; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers and 1 brother-in-law. Dick served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a dedicated employee of Rieth-Riley Asphalt/Paving for 28 years and later retired from Exxcel Asphalt. Richard "Moto" Boothe, age 81, of Grand Rapids, passed away on September 11, 2017 after a courageous fight with cancer. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Ellen Boothe; sons, Rick Boothe, Jeff (Wendy) Boothe and Mike (Denise) Boothe; step-sons, Scott Bylsma (Stacie Heath) and Kurt (Andrea) Bylsma; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers and 1 brother-in-law. Dick served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a dedicated employee of Rieth-Riley Asphalt/Paving for 28 years and later retired from Exxcel Asphalt. Dick and Ellen would often travel to their favorite places in the U.P. He enjoyed trying his luck at the casinos and also loved golfing. A time of visitation will be from 5-8 pm, Friday evening, September 15, 2017 at Reyers North Valley Chapel. Memorial Services including military honors will be Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 2 pm at the funeral home. Another time of visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service beginning at 1 pm.
